Decorating mailing envelopes with stickers is a fun and creative way to add some personality and flair to your mail. Here are some tips for making your envelopes stand out:
- Choose a theme: Select stickers that match the occasion or theme of your mail. For example, if you’re sending a birthday card, you could use stickers with balloons or cake designs.
- Mix and match: Combine different types of stickers to create a unique and eye-catching design. Use stickers of various sizes, shapes, and colors to create a dynamic visual effect.
- Consider placement: Think about where you want to place your stickers on the envelope. You could cluster them together on one corner or spread them out all over the envelope.
- Experiment with different types of stickers: Try using different types of stickers, such as 3D stickers or metallic foil stickers, to add some extra dimension and texture to your mail.
If you’d like to use your stickers for placing in your planner, journal, or to decorate your laptop cover, etc. printing your stickers out on to waterproof vinyl will give your stickers a long life. One of my favorite brands of vinyl sticker paper can be found on Amazon JOYEZA Premium Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet Printer – 25 Sheets Matte White Waterproof, Dries Quickly Vivid Colors, Holds Ink well- Tear Resistant – Inkjet & Laser Printer These sticker sheets work in both Deskjet and Laser printers which is an added bonus!
Making sticker flakes at home using a Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine can be a fun and creative experience for several reasons:
- Control: Making your own sticker flakes means you have complete control over the size, color, and materials used in your stickers. You can experiment with different types of paper, vinyl, or other materials to create stickers that are unique to your needs.
- Cost-effective: Buying pre-made stickers can be expensive, especially if you want to use a large number of them. By making your own sticker flakes at home, you can save money in the long run and have fun doing it.
- Creative outlet: Crafting with a cutting machine can be a great way to express your creativity and de-stress. It’s a fun way to spend your free time and can be a great activity to do with friends or family.
Overall, making sticker flakes at home using a Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine can be a fun and rewarding experience. It allows you to personalize your stickers to your liking and can be a great way to express your creativity.
I often get asked which printer I use to create my stickers. I have been using Canon Megatank 5020. The print outs look fabulous with vibrant colors and the ink tanks stay filled for hundreds of prints. Most people who print from home for crafting won’t need to add ink for a year. I print a LOT so I refill my tanks about 3 times a year. On average the color ink refills cost me less than 40.00 for all three colors. I haven’t had to buy black ink yet in 3 years, still using the ink they sent with my printer.
Daisy The Cow Poem
Copyright Kristi Faricelli – 2023
Daisy the cow, big and brown,
In the meadow, she wanders around.
Eating grass, mooing loud,
With her spots, she stands out from the crowd.
Her udder’s full, it’s time to milk,
Farmer John, he works with silk.
Pouring milk, fresh and white,
Daisy’s job is done just right.
Back in the field, she goes to graze,
The sun sets, ending her day’s phase.
Daisy the cow, big and brown,
In the meadow, she’ll always be found.
